The IDOM@STER Movie, “ THE IDOLM@STER MOVIE: To the other side of the sparkle!” was released in Japan on 25th January this year. As of now, the movie’s box-office revenue is at 765 million yen and Producers are ecstatic over this news, and not just because of the size of the amount.
In both The IDOLM@STER game and anime, the company that manages the idols is known as 765 Production. For the box-office revenue to match this number, it’s just amazing coincidence! With a bit of luck, maybe the Blu-ray sales of the movie will match this number again!
For those who didn’t know, the name 765 Production is also a play on words. If you take the numbers and translate it to Japanese, it will be Nana (7), roku Mutsu (6) and Go or sometimes pronounced Ko(5)*. If you keep saying it over and over, it will sound like NAMCO, the company that produces the IDOLM@STER games.
The move might not be available to us yet, but I’m sure that when we do get to watch it, it will be amazing! Until then we can also catch The IDOLM@STER seiyuu themselves at this year’s I Love Anisong Night!
Also, today is HIBIKI’s birthday!! Congratulations!!
Thank you dear reader Oyabun for pointing out correctly the meaning of 765.
