More good news for Durarara fans! The upcoming sequel to the anime series Durarara!! is returning to the small screen in January 2015! Better news, Durarara!! will be back for not one, but three seasons! The seasons have been named in accordance to the phrase 起承転結 (Kishoutenketsu), which describes the narrative structure of Introduction, Development, Turn, and Conclusion. Durarara!!x2 Shou (デュラララ!!×2 承) – starts in Jan 2015, Durarara!!x2 Ten (デュラララ!!×2 転) starts in July 2015, and Durarara!!x2 Ketsu (デュラララ!!×2 結) starts in Jan 2016.
Durarara!!x2 Shou (デュラララ!!×2 承) picks up right where the last series left off. As previously reported on AFACHAN, the main cast returns to reprise their original roles, but with a few additions to the big quirky family!
FIrst up we have 3 additions to the students of Raira Academy:
Aoba Kuronuma (left, CV Hiro Shimono) is also a member of DOLLARS, with a special interest in Mikado. The other two are a pair of twins, younger sisters to resident information broker Izaya Orihara. Kururi Orihara (centre, CV Hisako Kanemoto), the older twin sister, stands out in school as she turns up in gym attire instead of the school uniform. She tends to be shy and softspoken. Mairu Orihara (right, CV Eri Kitamura), the younger twin, appears rather plain at first sight, but can be considerably chatty, and seems to be more similar to her brother than her twin.
Ворона (say “Vorona“) (left, CV M.A.O), is a mysterious lady of Russian descent who works as a “handyman”. She speaks Japanese in an unusual manner. Chikage Rokujou (center, CV Yuuki Ono) is the head of Saitama motorcycle gang Toromaru, a self-styled ladies man (“feminist”) who claims to love women deeply. Miduki Akabayashi (right, CV Kappei Yamaguchi), also known as Awakasu’s Red Demon (Aka Oni), he is a high-ranking member in yakuza group Awakasu.

Plus! To promote Durarara!!x2, there will also be a string of collaborations with a number of special partners. In a campaign with Morinaga (デュラララ!!×森永製菓) that just ended, purchase of selected Morinaga products at Family Marts in Japan would allow you to get one of these specially designed clear files!

And coming up really soon, will be the collaboration with Namja Town (デュラララ!!×2 × ナンジャタウン), starting 1 Nov 2014. A special dessert and soft cream character tie-in menu will be created, such as “Shizuo’s The Most Unlucky Pudding Parfait in Ikebukuro”:
