April Fools’ Day is a day that is usually known to most people as a day to prank and trick people, but for the Japanese, it is more of a game of one-upmanship. It is definitely interesting to see, and for the Anime enthusiasts it is fun to see how these companies one-up their previous year’s handiwork. Today I present to you some of the April Fool’s “Pranks” from the Japanese Internet.

On the much darker side of the spectrum, Charlotte features a black screen with only this macabre image leading up to the 1st April 2015.
When the countdown timer ended, it revealed a webpage for the duo, Kimella, promoting their reunion tour.

Takara Tomy‘s Official Youtube Channel uploaded a new video announcing the live action version of selector infected WIXOSS.
The official website is also offering “real” WIXOSS booster cards featuring mundane animals like cats and sparrows, and also a one-day summer camp where players wear their swimsuits and battle to win earplugs.

SHIROBAKO‘s fictional author, Takeshi Nogami (who is also an actual Manga Artist) announced the anime adaptation of The Third Girls Aerial Squad with Seiichi Kinoshita as the the director. He also announced that his Sailor Uniform and F3 series are ending.

A Capsule Servant “Dark World Championships 2015″ tournament is announced.
A talent agency, “Imperial Roma” also launched, promoting the idol activities for almost all the characters from the TYPE-MOON universe. Twitter accounts were also created for the characters.

SHAFT, not going to be outdone by anyone, announces Nisekoimonogatari, an anime featuring characters from both the Nisekoi and the Monogatari series. The opening theme will be ClariS‘s Clear Sky.
