It is Valentine’s day next week and many events are being planned to celebrate this occasion. One of these events would be to celebrate the success of the Psycho-Pass movie. The second season of the anime, aired last year and the movie, showcased last month and more events prepared are lined up to build up this momentum.
Finishing off great with two seasons and a showcased movie last month, official events were organised to celebrate the success of the movie and to thank the fans. One of these events will fall on Valentine’s day, it has been planned with a special Valentine’s theme to mark the occasion. Doesn’t sound very special for most of the fans, but Kana Hanazawa has been invited to meet and greet the fans. The special event happens at Shinjuku, Ikebukuro and Osaka and it will be a stage talk event right after the movie screening of the Psycho-pass movie. To celebrate this special ocassion, participants will also receive a door gift, original chocolates prepared by the organisers. People can now walk out of the cinema happy, spending time with a pretty girl and chocolates to enjoy.
Psycho-pass is about a futuristic society which governs the citizens with the “Sibyl” system. This computerised system can measure the citizens’ thoughts, emotions and desires which is then summed up into a criminal tendency factor, well known as “Psycho-pass”. A few selected policemen have been equipped with weapons that could measure the citizens’ Psycho-pass and judge them if necessary. The story revolves around Akane Tsunemori, who is voiced by Kana Hanazawa, an inspector who has graduated from school to join the force as an inspector.
Kana Hanazawa is a familiar Seiyuu for most of us, she was invited to Singapore for Anime Festival Asia Singapore 2010 as a guest for the stage showcase. Besides Akane Tsunemori, she has also played well-known characters like Kosaki Onodera from Nisekoi, Charlotte Dunois from Infinite Stratos, and Ruri Gokou from Ore no Imouto ga Konnani Kawaii Wake ga Nai.
I do hope that besides this event, there will be more events lined up for us.
