An announcement was made on Wednesday 15 January 2014 that the light novel Amagi Brilliant Park written by Shoji Gatoh (Full Metal Panic author) will get the anime adaptation, and Kyoto Animation is going to do the production.
The novel has been called a “slapstick drama”, and begins with Seiya Kanie, a high schooler who is invited on a date to an amusement park by transfer student Isuzu Sento. There, he is introduced to park manager and “real” princess Ratifa, who tasks him to be the acting manager of the “disappointing amusement park in the Tokyo suburbs.”
In other related news, Fantasia Bunko will publish the third volume of the novel this Saturday. We will update you readers on the status of the anime and any future possible release dates and such. But if I were to guess? My money will be on a winter 2014/15 release date. Let us know in the comments when you think this anime will premier, or will it not?
Below are some materials I found on otakomu.
