Imagine what would happen if our state of mind and personality could be put into values that can be measured and categorized.
Imagine what would happen if we could quantify the human ‘soul’. Within the anime, such quantifiable information is known as ‘Psycho-pass’, which is also the name of the anime.
The story revolves around an investigator by the name of Tsunemori Akane. She and her partner Kogami Shinya are tasked with maintaining order in the dystopian society.
Personally I really liked this anime a lot, as it has a very interesting concept of how a society would work, and it’s actually quite a refreshing anime in a season that is usually filled with very generic anime such as your typical Harem, Moe and Action anime. Just to clarify, while there are action scenes, they are made in such a way that it doesn’t feel like the main focus of the anime.
The personalities of the characters are all quite interesting, carrying their own individual traits, making them different enough to stand out from one another, albeit quite the generic set; there’s the new recruit, the tight-suited superior, the detective with a vengeance, so on and so forth.
The ending music is awesome to say the least, being performed by EGOIST (which is the band Supercell with vocals from chelly, who was recruited by supercell’s leader).

The storyline is quite normal at the beginning, with the team solving crimes in the beginning. But it slowly becomes more interesting as the story progresses and really becomes addictive as it reaches towards the end. But in my personal opinion, I loved the way the characters interact with each other, and how the interactions developed.
My final thoughts on the anime is that it’s one of the few underrated anime in it’s season, and even now not many people know of it. I highly recommend this anime– the art is beautiful, the story is interesting, and the music is simply great.
