Japanese seiyuu Aki Toyosaki has already done many things in her career, which included being the lead vocalist and lead guitarist for Houkago Tea Time (HTT) along with the other K-On! seiyuus, as well as voicing many other unforgettable anime characters. Now it seems that we have to add weather girl to her long list of achievements.
The seiyuu, best known for voicing Yui Hirasawa from K-On!!, Uiharu Kazari from the To Aru series, Aoi Kunieda from Beelzebub, and Momo Deviluke from the To Love-Ru series, will become the weather forecaster or weather girl for the TV Tokyo morning news show, Charge 730!, which airs in Japan every weekday morning at 7:30 a.m. Japan time. The morning news show tackles daily news in Japan from various topics which also include politics, sports, entertainment, and others.
In her latest post from her personal blog, she teased fans of with the weather forecast saying that they are in for some cold weather, but the sakuras are still blooming and are raising her spirits. She will begin her new job as a weather girl starting Wednesday, 1 April 2015.
I wonder if she will give her fans a treat by appearing in character in one of the show’s daily episodes? It would be quite interesting to see her get into the character of Yui. Maybe while in the middle of announcing the weather, she forgets the temperature forecasts in the most Yui Hirasawa kind of way, don’t you think? ^w^
