Toho Animation has started streaming the second PV for the upcoming Spring 2015 fantasy-action anime, Blood Blockade Battle Front, or Kekkai Sensen, and as expected, it teases plenty of action and intrigue as it takes a look at the series from the point of view of Leonard Watch, the series’ secondary main character.
One of Leonard’s motivations in the series is his ailing sister, Michelle Watch, and it has been unveiled that she will be voiced by none other than Nana Mizuki, best known for her roles as Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha’s Fate Testarossa, Naruto’s Hinata Hyuuga, and Cross Ange’s Ange. So Nana Mizuki went from having a sister with a wheel chair (who tried to kill her character) in Cross Ange to actually voicing a sister character in a wheel chair.
Also joining the cast are Miyuki Sawashiro and Riki Kagami, who will be voicing Vivienne and “The Master” of a bar respectively. Sawashiro is best known for voicing Durarara!’s Celty Starluson, Sword Art Online’s Sinon, and Rozen Maiden’s Shinku. Riki Kagami on the other hand has voiced the “Shikoutei” from Akame Ga Kill!
The anime will follow the crime-fighting organization known as Libra, led by the large and powerful Klaus Von Reinhertz (CV: Rikiya Koyama) as their battles within “Jerusalem’s Lot”, a paranormal melting pot filled with normal humans, monsters, and magic.
The anime is based on Yasuhiro Nightow’s manga series and is scheduled to premiere this April 2015. Here is the first PV
