The main cast has been unveiled for Denpa Kyoushi airing this spring. Hiroshi Kamiya(Art in Hamatora) will play the protagonist, Junnichiro Kagami in anime adaptation of Takeshi Azuma’s manga, Denpa Kyoushi.
The manga, which began its serialization on 2 October 2011 in Weekly Shounen Sunday, tells the story of Junnichiro Kagami, who is taunted as a child wonder in the field of physics, until one day he lost interest in the subject. He becomes a NEET(Not in Education, Employment, or Training) and an otaku, which proved to be a taxing thing for his sister,Suzune Kagami. Fed up by his brother’s antics,she enlisted his brother to teach physics at her school.
Will he be able to maintain this status quo as a teacher or will he go back to his ways being a NEET.
Joining Hiroshi Kamiya are rising seiyuu star,Sora Amamiya (Asseylum Vers Allusia in Aldnoah.Zero) who will play Minako Kano, an ex-delinquent turned aspiring seiyuu , Mimori Suzuko (Nanami Momozono in Kamisama Hajimemashita) who will play Hiiragi Kayami, the principal at Ichou Academy where Junnichiro works and Saori Ounishi(Hisako Arato in Shokugeki no Soma) who will play the student council president at Ichou Academy, Makina Momozono.
Taking Junnichiro’s class are Ayane Sakura (Mika Shimotsuki in Psycho-Pass 2) who will play Sachiko Tanaka, Aki Toyosaki ( Yui Hirasawa in K-on! ) who will play Koutarou Araki, Asuza Tadokoro (Kotori Takatori in Gokukoku no Brynhildr) who will play Kiriko Shikishima and Rina Hadaka (Ririchiyo Shirakiin in Inu x Boku SS) who will play Kanan Chinami .
Momo Asakura, Iina Natsukawa, and Sora Amamiya will form the unit, Trysail, and will sing the opening theme “Youthful Dreamer“, while Tokyo Performance Doll (Kindaichi Shounen no Jikenbo Returns) will perform the ending theme for the series. The series is set to premiere on 4 April 2015.
