“Wake Up, Girls!” have released a sneak preview of “Tachiagare”‘s promotional video, from their upcoming new album, “Wake Up, Best!”. It’s a remake of the first PV. Fans are eager anticipating the full version of it when it releases.
The album will include hit songs from the anime as well as the singles released as well as singles released after the anime was aired. Additionally, Miyu Takagi will also be covering a song “Taiyou Iwaku Moe yo Chaos”, the opening theme song of “Haiyore! Nyaruko-san” originally sang by Kana Asumi, Yuka Ootsubo and Miyu Matsuki.
The album will be released on 18 March 2015.
“Wake up!眩しい日差し浴びて、今、胸の希望が君と重なる” . These lovely lyrics are taken from “Tachiagare” by “Wake Up, Girls!”, an idol sensation that début two years ago and is still gaining new fans. The song lyrics means “Bask yourself in the dazzling sunshine, right now, the hope within my chest is being overlapped with you”.
“Wake Up, Girls!” is an anime about a tiny production company based in Sendai, Green Leaves Entertainment, on a verge of going out of business. The company last desperate actions to scout out seven girls to form an new idol unit, hoping to save itself by using this unit to take over another established idol unit, the I-1 club.
The story is about these seven girls overcoming their respective weak points and their pasts, undergoing intensive dance lessons in order to be recognised as the best idol unit.

One interesting point about the anime is that the voice actresses and characters are very closely linked, sharing the same name and some even having matching personalities. The girls are: Mayu Shimada (CV. Mayu Yoshioka), Airi Hayashida (CV: Airi Eino), Minami Katayama (CV: Minami Tanaka), Yoshino Nanase (CV: Yoshino Aoyama), Nanami Hisami (CV: Nanami Yamashita), Kaya Kikuma (CV: Kaya Okuno) last but not least, Miyu Okamoto (CV: Miyu Takagi).
“Wake Up, Girls!” have appeared in many concerts and events, becoming more famous over 2014. The group also got a big break when they were given the opportunity to perform at Animelo Summer Live 2014 barely a year after their debut, showing how much they had achieved.
