[COSPLAY] ARCC 2014 SG VIDEO COMPETITION

The ARCC is back and for the Singapore leg, a new competition has been revealed to select Singapore’s representative for 2014’s edition of the ARCC. ARCC 2014 will be held in Anime Festival Asia 2014 in Singapore this coming December.

Short-listed entries will be showcased at the upcoming FUNAN ANIME MATSURI, from 9 to 15 June 2014. Are you game enough for the fun? Join now!

Entry Requirements,

• 2 cosplayers will be represented in each entry.
• Both Cosplayers in entry must be residing in Singapore on a long term basis.
• Need not be Singaporean.

Video Requirements,

Video Format: .MP4
Video Quality: At least 720P (16:9)
Video Length: 3 – 5 Minutes

• Video must be an original production, with permission to be shown and reproduced by creator of video granted for the purpose marketing and usage of ARCC.
• Video entry must be original. Proof of creation will be requested on duplicated entries by 2 different teams to determine the ownership of Video entry.
• Music/video clips used during their production must be credited to the intellectual property rights owner: It’s the submitting party’s responsibility to clear submitted works of the copyright requirements.
• If multiple submissions by the same pair of cosplayer are submitted, only the best one determined by ARCC and its agents are will be entered into the competition. The others may be considered for showcase during the event days.
• AFA and its agents reserves the rights to use the video, image and/or performance submitted for marketing and promotional purposes.
• Video can be a short skit or Music Video. Here are a few samples,

Rules and Regulations,

• Cosplays are restricted to Japanese Intellectual Property only.
• Both cosplay featured need to be of the same Intellectual Property.
• Each submission is restricted to 2 cosplayers only.
• Content of the submitted video should not feature explicit contents which includes but not limited to pornography, religiously offensive, vulgar and/or politically motivated material. Such submission will be disqualified.
• ARCC Official Rules and regulation applies where necessary.

Competition Mechanics,

Qualified submission will be feature at the FUNAN Anime Matsuri from the 9^th to 15^th of June 2014 with public voting open from 9^th till 13^th of June. Submitted works will be judged by the ARCC Singapore Video Competition panel of judges and the public, adding to come to the result.

Winner will get to participate in the ARCC Final 2014 to be held at Anime Festival Asia 2014.
Winner do not necessarily need to compete in ARCC Final 2014 with the Submitted Costume

Judging,

Submission will be judged with the following criteria

Costume Accuracy – 15%
In characterness – 15%
Performance (acting and showmanship) – 35%
WOW Factor – 10%
Choice of character – 10%
Public Choice – 15%

Prize,

Winners of the competition will get to Participate in the ARCC Finals 2014 to be held in Anime Festival Asia 2014.
