Yep! It’s happening! Space Dandy will have a second season! Talks at AnimeJapan have confirmed that Dandy‘s adventures with QT and Meow will continue to travel the galaxy hunting for unidentified aliens, and it will premiere this summer on Japanese TV! Attending the event were voice actors Junichi Suwabe (as Dandy) and Uki Satake (as QT). And there was even a Meow kigurumi moving around the place!
Personally, Space Dandy is one of a few shows I watch just so I can kick back, relax and have some good laughs without taking the show too seriously – which is a minor selling point I suppose. Some episodes were a little deeper in depth but generally, it was still a show you can chose not to take it seriously, and still go along fine. Knowing that there is a second season will be airing in summer gives me some relief that I can at least watch this show after a marathon of more serious stories.
