There was an announcement on Yuruyuri‘s official anime website that the new anime will be released as an OVA, and not as a third season of TV anime. This will all happen sometime this year.

The OVA is scheduled to be screened at theatres in Japan, following a similar format to MS Gundam Unicorn and Ghost in the Shell: Arise.
The artwork you see above was tweeted by the series’ manga creator Namori on 9 February. More information about the upcoming OVA will be revealed at a stage event at Anime Japan 2014 (BLUE stage Program 2) on 22 March (Saturday).

Personally, this series has been a little random, but spot on with the humor for me, and I really enjoyed my time watching the anime itself. While I may not be hankering for more from this series (not as much as I am hankering for more Hayate no Gotoku), the shift to an OVA format could mean I might be watching this at a theatre, like MS Gundam Unicorn.
