DMM and Nitroplus’s Touken Ranbu game recently held its Hanamaru Biyori event at the Makuhari Messe in Chiba. During the event, the staff delighted the fans as they announced that the Touken Ranbu: Hanamaru anime is getting a sequel!
To celebrate the occasion, series character designer, Junichiro Taniguchi, released this of illustration of Yasusada Yamatonokami and Kiyomitsu Kashuu:
However, the staff didn’t reveal much information, but expect them to announce more in the days to come. The first anime premiered last year. It featured the sword boys’ daily lives, as well as their battles against “historical revisionists”.
ufotable is also making its own Touken Ranbu anime, which should not be confused with the Hanamaru series. Titled Katsugeki Touken Ranbu, the ufotable anime will be premiering sometime in July 2017.
