Heads up Pokefans, because Yokohama Kurikoan is giving a Pokemon twist to their taiyaki. Several branches, including ones in Yokohama Nishiguchi, Minato Mirai, Akihabara, and Kichijouji, will be offering up a specially-designed taiyaki shaped exactly like a Magikarp!
While Magikarp are infamously weak, the flavors of this taiyaki certainly aren’t. Aside from the traditional red bean paste filling, they are also offering a “fluffy custard” filling.
Each piece, with either the red bean or creamy custard filling, costs 191 yen. They also come in bags with the lyrics of the official Magikarp theme song, “I Love Koiking”.
