In 1974, Go Nagai changed the mecha industry forever with his ground-breaking super robot manga, Mazinger Z. Now, the series is celebrating the 45th anniversary of its anime adaptation, and they revealed something BIG! Toei Animation, which animated the original, announced a new Mazinger Z movie as part of the anniversary celebrations.
Tentatively titled “Gekijouban Mazinger Z”, Toei also launched a new official website for the film. The website didn’t announce any further information about this new super robot film aside from the teaser visual.
However, they did reveal that they will be announcing more details during Anime Japan 2017. As announced, Toei will be holding their Anime Japan 2017 stage presentation on 26 March 2017.
