On 11th December, Hiroshima’s Hijiyama University will be holding one very special lecture, which will feature one of the anime industry’s biggest names, the Studio Ghibli co-founder and director, Isao Takahata. The best part? This would be a free lecture.
But even if the lecture is free, given Isao Takahata’s credentials, seating would only be limited to 300 people, and there will be a first-come, first-serve basis on it, so better come early if you want to hear the legendary anime director speak. The lecture will be about the influence of classical Japanese painting in manga and anime, so it’s definitely going to be worth listening to.
The lecture is scheduled from 1:30 PM – 4:00 PM JST on 11 December 2016, at the Hijiyama University’s Multipurpose Hall on the 5th floor of Building 10.
Oh, and there will also be an autograph session after the lecture, so better prepare those Studeo Ghibli merchandise you own.
