During a recent joint conversation between two legendary mangaka, Kentaro Miura of Berserk and Tetsuo Hara of Fist of the North Star, the two industry veterans made artworks of each other’s hero. It was captured inside the pages of Young Animal magazine, with Hara drawing Guts and Miura drawing Oda Nobunaga from Hara’s historical manga, Ikusa no Ko – Oda Saburou Nobunaga-den.
And you thought Guts couldn’t look any more “gar”. Seems like Hara made the Black Swordsman look a bit… manlier with that Fist of the North Star-style art.
Miura is actually quite familiar with both Fist of the North Star mangaka, previously doing a collaboration with Fist of the North Star writer, Buronson, in two manga titles from 1989 – 1990, titled Japan and King of Wolves.
