Sakamoto Maaya is releasing her latest single, 「SAVED. / Be mine!」on 5 February, under FlyingDog, Inc. This would be a special “triple tie-up” single, with all 3 songs on the single being featured as theme songs in various works.
Leading the line-up would be “SAVED”, the opening theme of this season’s Inari, Konkon, Iroha, which showcases her strong, clean vocals against a slow-paced background. This ballad is another collaboration with composer Suzuki Shouko (鈴木祥子), who has previously worked with her on hit songs including Kazemachi Jet (风待ちジェット) and Saigo no Kajitsu (さいごの果実). “Be mine!” has a lively, catchy tune, featuring the composer, rock band “the band apart”, in a refreshing collaboration. This is the ending theme for World Conquest Zvezda Plot (Sekai Seifuku: Bouryaku no Zvezda), also airing this season. Rounding up is “声” (Koe), the Japanese version of the widely acclaimed original theme song of Monster Hunter Frontier G, “Sekurearu” (セクレアール), her hauntingly charming masterpiece.

Having joined a professional theatre troupe as a child actress at a young age, Sakamoto has since began her music career at a tender age of 15. She has received much praise for her natural, clean and strong vocals, with the vibrancy she injects into her songs. In 2010, she held a 15th anniversary concert at Budoukan, performing for a 13,000 strong crowd. Her 2011 album “You can’t catch me” reached 1st place on the Oricon charts. In 2013, she brought her talents to a whole new level with her album “Singer Songwriter”, which she single-handedly composed, wrote and produced. She is also active in theatre and as a seiyuu, known for playing lead roles such as Ciel Phantomhive from Kuroshitsuji, Fujioka Haruhi in Ouran High School Host Club and Ryougi Shiki in Kara no Kyoukai.
