In 2006, mangaka Hiro Mashima launched Fairy Tail inside the pages of Weekly Shonen Magazine, and 10 years later, the manga is still going strong with 35 million copies in print in Japan alone. The manga has become a worldwide bestseller and has been translated into a multitude of languages, including English, Korean, Chinese, and Filipino.
To celebrate this milestone, they are launching a special 10th Anniversary exhibition, which will be held at the fifth floor of Tokyo Solamachi in Tokyo Skytree Town.
The exhibition will be held for nine days, from 17th – 25th September, and will be highlighted by the manga’s two leads, Natsu Dragneel and Lucy Heartfilia. Also included are illustrations and sketches from Hiro Mashima himself.
And speaking of Hiro Mashima, he also illustrated the key visual (seen in the top image), as well as the ticket illustrations. Advance tickets for the exhibition are being sold for 3,000 yen, and will come with a Fairy Gift Set. Advance tickets will be available from 6th August – 16th September.
