Remember the Valvrave Showcase at the AFASG main stage?
Were you there with the seiyuus of Haruto and L-Elf, Osaka Ryota and Ryohei Kimura?

If you were, the boys thought you were AWESOME!!~~ (now give yourselves a pat on the back)

Hosting the 28th episode of Kakumeiki Valvrave Web Radio, both Kimura and Osaka briefly discussed the last episode of the anime series. Both mentioned that because this was finally the last recording for the web radio, they need not hold back on plot details and talk about everything they wanted to. They also shared some anecdotes from the voice recording sessions, including  Asami Seto’s (Shoko’s seiyuu) realization that the nickname “Sanda / Thunder” is a play on Raizo Yamada’s name (山田, alternatively read as Sanda).

Later they read a fan letter asking about their visit to the Anime Festival Asia 2013 in Singapore, which asked about their experience. To quote them:

SAIKOU DESHITA!

The boys also shared about how they managed to sneak in some sightseeing, Merlion visits, and a chance to feast on local delicacies. The warm audience reactions during the stage event left a huge impression, and both were especially impressed by how much of the crowd reacted to their jokes before the translator even finished translating. Osaka also attended Valvrave Night, and with the rest of us, enjoyed the stellar performances by Nana Mizuki and T.M. Revolution.

Other radio segments include the corner “Ningen Yamemasuka? (Do you give up being human?)” which was specially renamed as “Ningen Shinjimasuka? (Do you believe in humans?)”

Every web radio episode covers a few different segments revolving around themes related to Valvrave. In general, fans can send in fan letters/emails with questions based on the segments or topics covered in that week’s radio episode.

Every episode begins with the generic segment in which the hosts discuss the episode aired in the same week, and reply to letters/emails sent in by fans. Following that, the remaining segments are varied based on the cast members hosting the radio each week (character-specific themes).

One memorable segment would be 日常会話で使えるヴァルヴレイヴ (Daily conversational “Valvrave”): Fans would suggest certain ways of incorporating Valvrave-related terms into daily life. A suggestion (episode 27) was using “degen” from the  Dorssian salute “Blitzendegen” to replace “dekinai” (unable to do something), or in “Akemashite Ome-degen” (New Year’s greeting).

Next web radio episode will be up on 22 January 2014, with Yuuichi Nakamura (Raizo Yamada “Sanda”) and Hiroyuki Yoshino (Yusuke Otamaya) hosting.
