The first 8 minutes of the sci-fi love story, animated movie, HAL(ハル、Haru) has been streamed online exclusively on Yahoo! Japan.
HAL is a movie by Director Ryoutarou Makiharu, his debuting animated feature. It also comes with an original story line written by Izumi Kizara (Q10). The story is about Q1 a robot that was remade to look like his owner’s grand son Haru, so as to save Haru’s girl friend Kurumi from long term depression, allowing her to continue living. This is after a devastating accident while travelling on an aircraft that was destroyed.
The manga adaptation will be release along with the release of the movie on the 8th of June.

HAL opens in Japanese theaters on the 8th of June 2013. And I’ll be looking forward to the day it comes to Singapore!
